Share function, copy url to clipboard not working anymore #3157
Comments
I had a look on the mentioned version of the Nextcloud app on an iPhone XS Max on iOS 18.1 connected to Nextcloud 30.0.2 RC1. After creating the share link in the app's user interface, I see a copy button which copies the URL to the clipboard. I pasted it in a note in the iOS notes app. I would like to point out that visual feedback like an animation is missing for that. There is just no feedback for the URL being copied. I can provide a screen recording, if necessary. |
@universalsolution can you give me more data about this issue ? (iPhone / iPad version) |
When testing, I had this bug on an iPad version. Reinstalling on another iPhone I can see the folder icons to copy the url.
I can check further tonight with another device.

I just checked this again with the same app version on the same iOS version on a physical iPad 11" (2024, M4) and still fail to reproduce. The button opens a popover to share the URL. On second thought, the chosen symbol is misleading as it suggests copying to clipboard as it was in the past while now it is the revelation of a share sheet which has a more appropriate and conventional symbol. |
I am really not a GitHub expert, neither a programmer. I am just trying to attach two screenshots.
One iOS_iphone.png with showing the little button, the iOS_ipad.png is not showing the “copy link“ button.
The same thing I had before on an iOS iPhone device, but I fail to reproduce as well…
