The only info provided by the documentation (https://docs.nextcloud.com/desktop/3.1/advancedusage.html#exclude-list) is

nextcloudcmd requires access to an exclude list file. It must either be installed along with nextcloudcmd and thus be available in a system location, be placed next to the binary as sync-exclude.lst or be explicitly specified with the --exclude switch

There is not info about its format

Indeed it's missing. Unless a proper documentation is added, you can have a look at the file sync-exclude.lstin the Nextcloud clients configuration directory. On Linux this file can be found in ~/.config/Nextcloud/sync-exclude.lst on WIndows it can for example found in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Nextcloud\sync-exclude.lst.

Note: You need to setup at least one account to let this file appear.

The client has improved a lot since the ticket was opened.
If it is still relevant, please create a fresh ticket.
Thank you for your support

@Rello
this was easy to check and yes, it is still relevant. Simply closing tickets because they are older is not ideal.

Hello,
thank you for your feedback.
Based on your response this topic is still relevant and I am happy to keep it open.
We just need to start to filter old topics to be able to direct our capacity to the relevant parts.
