Working Title: New American Interface

Summary: At a particular moment in time, "interfaces" become formats for information dissemination in and of themselves. A camera refocuses light and burns it into a material, in this manner, information is transferred from one state to another. In certain respects, "New American Interfaces" bypass the act of "burn in" or "encoding" and exist themselves as information about the world. As we view ourselves through these non-burn-in formats, what does it mean to be a 'self'?
