For now on-the-spot is still using jEditable, which does work, but x-editable is looking waayyyyyy better :)

I have seen some gems already exist offering it (just the assets or with view-helpers),
but because on-the-spot also offers the server-side, and better testing, it is still a viable alternative imho.

x-editable was in a frozen state for a while, but there is a new contributor now, so could be worth it to check it out again ...
