I sent myself some bitcoin and I can see the transaction in the blockchain, but Mycelium doesn't show it. My understanding is that Mycelium checks old addresses more rarely than it checks the more recent one(s). However, when the user knows the address through which BTC was received, it should be possible to have the wallet check that specific address and update the balance and transactions if new receipts exist to that specific address.
