Mac OS Catalina Error

I had issues with xcode Command Line Tools when following the directions to install MTEX on MacOS Catalina. I followed the instructions from https://mtex-toolbox.github.io/installation
The particular issue (for me) appeared when I tried to do:

sudo xcodebuild -license accept
xcode-select --install

The Command Line Tools would try and install, and then give the error

Can’t install because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.

The fix for me was to log into developer.apple.com
and download the standalone
Command Line Tools for Xcode 12.2 beta3

Not sure what the issue was - hopefully this helps others in the same predicament.
