For the moment I went with the following "solution". I estimate the KAM value of the edge-only by using the weighted average |

Hi there!
I want to compare an easy method for GND calculation that is available in Aztec Crystal (Oxford) software, with MTEX.
Basically, there the KAM value is multiplied by some (material-) constants.
However, in Aztec, there is the possibility to calculate the KAM for the outermost pixels of the specified Kernel only.
E.g. if a kernel "order" (as it is called here) of 2 is used and the same Kernel is used that MTEX uses, then there would be 8 pixels at the edge. (order 1 -> 4 pixels, order 3 -> 12 pixels etc.).
I checked the KAM.m function, but could not wrap my head around it.
However, I guess it would be an easy task for whoever implemented this in the first place.
Best regards,
M.
