The notion 'component' is a linguistic variable that has (at least) two dependencies. The entity to which it is intended to refer and the (other) entity of which is bears some sort of parthood relation (i.e. component of what).
It should not be part of an ontology. The entities to which this term may be applied in a linguistic context are what should be represented.
