lk1st cannot boot kernel

fastboot boot or fastboot flash boot ... && fastboot reboot with lk1st always cause DTB offset is incorrect, kernel image does not have appended DTB, even with lk2nd image.
lk1st was installed using: fastboot flash aboot build-lk1st-msm8960/emmc_appsboot.mbn
