That is not a bad way to describe it. When setting up an AP, there are two basic ways to do it: bridged and routed. I use systemd-networkd to bridge the ethernet interface to the bridge which I name For routed APs I recommend OpenWRT. I don't make a guide for that as I can't beat what OpenWRT is doing. |

I am confused by the AP documented here: https://github.com/morrownr/USB-WiFi/blob/main/home/AP_Mode/Bridged_Wireless_Access_Point.md being described as "bridged".
Based on the diagram, it looks like a straight access point.
What networks is it "bridging"?
Does the (almost) same config also function as a media bridge?
