Recently I got a Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01).
A first test has shown that the driver (ath9k) report that active monitor mode is supported:
$ hcxdumptool -L
Requesting physical interface capabilities. This may take some time.
Please be patient...

+ monitor mode available
- no monitor mode available
bye-bye
That is confirmed by iw:
$ iw list | grep active
Device supports active monitor (which will ACK incoming frames)
Does this device really support active monitor mode or is it erroneously reported by the driver (like mt7601u)?
