Raster overviews

First of all thank you for your hard work!

I am currently working on some big GeoTIFF files. But I didn’t find the equivalent of gdaladdo. The method buildOverviews is very limited compared to gdaladdo. It seems not possible to choose overviews format or resolution for example.

Maybe I’m wrong ?

Unlike the other utilities gdaladdo does not have a library call version. It is a very simple wrapper around GDALDataset::BuildOverviews. What can it do that Dataset.buildOverviews cannot?

Looking at GDAL codebase I understand useful params as COMPRESS_OVERVIEWS must be provided through gdal.config.

I will try this.
