ModBus Port broken? #104
-
Hi, I am trying to get a working ModBus Connection to the inverter to connect it to HomeAssistant. I plugged in a LAN cable into the WiNet-S Dongle LAN Port as well as into the "internal" LAN Port. The Dongle-Port is working. I am having a Connection (Uplink) and can configure the Inverter using the App and the iSolarCloud Website. But I dont get an Uplink from the ModBus LAN-Port. I tried it with the LAN cable that was plugged in into the Dongle to make sure that there is no cable issue or Switch Port Issue. I also tested it with a brand new Switch and a tested LAN cable but I cannot get the ModBus Port to work. By now I believe that the ModBus Port of the inverter is broken. Does anyone have an idea of what I also can test or is there some hidden configuration parameter that enables my ModBus Port? Any help is appreciated Thanks |

Is your internal LAN port assigned an IP address in your router? It is a different address than the router assigns to the WiNet S LAN port. So first you have to check if the inverter gets an ip address when you connect the cable to internal LAN port. |

Solved the issue. It was a faulty LAN Port on the inverter. New inverter and everything works like expected
