Steps to Reproduce

  1. go to https://bi.odl.mit.edu/queries/1189
  2. search for 14.73x+3T2022
  3. search for 14.100x+3T2022

Expected Behavior

  • All the rows for both of these courses should display a program readable ID of program-v1:MITx+DEDP because they are both members of the same program

Actual Behavior

  • 14.100x enrollments display a program readable id, but 14.73x courses do not.

Screenshot or Screencast

Here's a query that show both at the same time:

I don't know if this is a bug in the query, or a data issue in production.

Not sure about a join in the query - looked like the query was pulling program data in based on the course run ID. I forked the query and added some other joins so the courses set contains the program ID and it looks better: https://bi.odl.mit.edu/queries/1226 If that looks OK then I'll merge the changes I made back into the actual one.

FWIW I tried JPAL102x and that doesn't show anything either; 14.100x is course id 1 so that makes sense that it would be working. (There's only one program in prod.)

Thanks James. I'm not sure if we should patch up the query in BI or make something more permanent and stable in the Data Platform. Let me get back to you before we take this further.
