Feature Request.

I haven't been able to use this because I need to call the log event more than 5x/second. Would love to see periodic uploads added to this library.

Can you explain in more detail what stops you from using the library? If you keep calling log while a write to cloudwatch is in progress it queues the events and sends them in a batch on the next write.
