Boxes around elements of articles when using kill the newsletter

I am using kill the newsletter and miniflux together, and overall everything works ok. The only problem is that there are many boxes around the various elements of the feed article. Client like feedme do not show these boxes, so there is a problem with miniflux displaying the feed.

If anybody stumbles on this, I believe it's the table borders ususally newsletters use a lot for design. Custom CSS fixed this for me for the moment:

table, th, td {
  border-style: hidden;
}

From Rewrite Rules:

remove_tables

Remove any tables while keeping the content inside (useful for email newsletters).
