"Object/Edit" mode sign removed, can't restore #30

After an error condition using "Draw Extrude" the bit of the blender UI that displays the mode was removed, and I have no idea how to get it back (it may be easy, but I just don't know).

Here's what I mean (screenshot attached):

Hello,
Sorry for late reply. Could you please provide the crash? Blend file. So that I could try to fix it.
To restore the UI I thnk you need to run the tool again and finish it. The UI should be restored.
