Simulate with multiple laser sources and multiple materials at the same time #26
Comments
Hi,
Thanks so much! That’s really nice to hear.
Currently, there’s no way to have a multi-component case, with multiple lasers. However if this is something that interests you, I should be able to generalise the arraylaserbeamFoam solver quite easily to have the multi-component functionality.
Philip has actually just made a suggestion, and done the necessary formatting to put all the laser stuff in a class, so this will help with this too.
Perhaps we could aim to get a paper out together on this subject? You, me and Philip if we can make the code suitable, and you can run the simulations, would you be interested?
All the best,
Tom

Hello.
Thanks for your excellent work!
I am following your papers and code to learn to do simulation.
Could you please tell me if there is a way to achieve a simulation with multiple materials and multiple laser sources at the same time ?
Thank you in advance and best regards

Hi, |
Hi,
Do you have my e-mail, GitHub seems to block it out I’ve noticed. You should be able to get it from my papers, but please do get in touch and we can organise a call with Philip to see what we can do together

Hi,
Thank you very much for your response.
I found your proposal very interesting. In fact, we are currently working on simulating of wire laser additive manufacturing. I look forward to discussing this further with you via email.
Thank you once again, and best regards.
