I've been working with plebes for a while (since the game I'm working in doesn't support importing rigs, hence having to work over a skeleton, that stays intact) and using the biped template, it doesn't seem like scaling the controls works like I'd imagine it should, it looks like it only moves the bones, without scaling them, this is especially visible with the hands, if you scale up the hand control, the character becomes distorted and warps, stretching bones works fine, but anything that uses the actual scale tool causes the rig to break

Plebes was a contribution from @ragtag and I didn't touch the code since then 😅
@ragtag are you still around?

I will try to review this in some point
