Sort search results by Euclidean distance

For documents that have fields relating to a plane, it's currently not possible to sort results by the distance between two points.

It would be helpful to compute the distance between two points and use the result to sort documents (similar to geo-sort).

Just imagine you have objects with x+y coordinates and I'd want to do a search on these objects sorted by distance.
