If you create a new style "delete.svg" can't be found

I created a new style, making sure to duplicate all the files and folder structure of opt/octoprint-tft/styles/default. Copied all files into the newstyle subdirectory. Even if there are no physical file changes the new style cannot find opt/octoprint-tft/styles/newstyle/delete.svg. A warning pops up on the screen that the file can't be found, but it is there.
