That's really weird. It's not there in Firefox or Safari but I see it in Google Chrome. Then, clicking on it seems to open the live feed audio for me, which I thought was behind the security wall. I'll be interested to follow this discussion to find out more! |

Compression just means audio compression. It tries to "normalize" the sound so that the quiet and the loud sounds are closer together in terms of volume. It honestly doesn't seem to be that effective but I just left it in there as a proof of concept for how audio effects can be added to the spectrogram. |

After last nights updates when use the compression or slide the "level-bar" the sound-level doesn't change at all. I tested in Edge, Firefox and Chrome. I checked svardstens birdnet-pi which hasn't been updated in a while and it works as it should in my browsers. |
