loss of audio

Hey all,

Is there a specific way of setting audiocards ? I've just moved my stuff around and have now plugged the mic into the pi. It shows up one arecord and alsamixer. But with default or dsnoop all I can hear is nothing.
The USB mic works on my other computer fine.

I've tried :
dsnoop:CARD=FDUCESL168,DEV=0
dsnoop:CARD=FDUCESL168
CARD=FDUCESL168
dsnoop:
dsnoop

and the same with default.

Any ideas ? All services are working and it's trying to analyse the audio, liver audio is just a faint errie noise at full volume.

After doing a manual record with arecord and checking over the audio its now working with dsnoop:CARD=FDUCESL168,DEV=0.
