Sometimes I have the problem that the raspberry pi only picks up a few calls of an entire series, doesn't matter which settings I use.
This is especially annoying when I suspect a rare species but have a little too little context to determine for sure (f.e. because of missing previous calls of an overflying bird that weren't recognized). Increasing the recording length won't help much in this regard.
That's why I search for a continuous recording solution. Preferrably, every hour a new file should be created coninuously for at least 48 hours long, better 1 week. Older files should be deleted automatically and it must be easy to export the files.
Since I'm unable to make this simple code, I wanted to ask if anyone could recommend an audio recorder that deletes old files automatically after a certain time or once storage is full. This is more cybersome and less practicable, but still better than nothing.
