First pass that would compare screenshot to a golden standard to make sure the marker always ends up at the right position would be a very good start.

Framework that could be usefull:
- https://github.com/avajs/ava
- https://www.cypress.io
- https://playwright.dev

AVA looks promising and pretty minimalistic which fits well with this very small plugin.
