Hi @oluwatobi2001 for sure, do you have any questions about the brief for this task? |
Hi @oluwatobi2001 I wondered how you're getting on with this, did you need some assistance? I don't see any content in the linked Google Doc. Let us know if you need any help, if you can't do this task any more please advise so we can assign it to someone else. Thanks! |

Wonderful, let us know if we can help with anything! |
Hi. please I would like to seek more clarity on the project as the content wireframe on FIgma seems a bit vague. Also, i would really appreciate I get access to the Jira |
I just updated the docs. Thanks |
Hi @oluwatobi2001 thanks for asking for clarification. Here's an example that another contributor has done for the 'What is Mautic' page which is currently at https://www.mautic.org/what-is-mautic. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vAO0J_94SskHp4LLo96l1MUE8XkWGIQRKapZQGnZZZY/edit?usp=sharing At the bottom you'll notice they've made a rough mockup on Canva which takes inspiration from the blocks on Figma to organise the content that has been written. In the case of this task, we already have the wireframe outline of the Community page page that we think will work well, you need to write the content which will go in the spaces, and decide if this is indeed the right layout to use. I would recommend for example looking at the community pages on other open source projects, and seeing what you like/don't like. How do they write? What tone of voice to they use? What content is on their community page? How can we learn from that? How can we improve? I recommend searching for https://www.drupal.org/community What we want as the outcome is all the content that will be used on the community page, so that the person building it can just lift that copy and put it into the page when they build it (hopefully next week, all being well). |
Awesome, thanks for the info!

In the case of this task, we already have the wireframe outline of the

I recommend searching for <name of project> community to find such pages,
e.g.
https://www.drupal.org/community
https://www.python.org/community/
https://www.rust-lang.org/community
https://symfony.com/community
What we want as the outcome is all the content that will be used on the
community page, so that the person building it can just lift that copy and
put it into the page when they build it (hopefully next week, all being
well).

Hi @oluwatobi2001 we are getting ready to build out this page but I am not seeing any content yet for the new site, so I'll re-assign this to someone else. |
This issue has a corresponding Jira ticket here: https://mautic.atlassian.net/browse/WR-170. Ping us in #hacktoberfest if you need inviting to Jira.
You will find the wireframes for the new website at https://www.figma.com/design/OIqb9D6IT3mOP2HjqlZ230/Mautic.org-website-wireframe?node-id=71-267&t=wmMT8GYs1z5xCZuH-1 which shows the kinds of blocks (far right) and layouts we have available. There is one specifically for community, so we need to write the content and decide if this layout will work for what we want to see on the page.
This is an important page as it's the 'front door' for new contributors and also is a trust-building page for folks considering Mautic and wanting to be reassured that we have strong, stable community.
If you'd like to make a mockup on Figma / Canva / Whatever to show the web team how you'd like this page to look (e.g. if you want to use images, layouts etc), please do (and share it with us in the issue comments).
Copied below from the Jira issue:
This issue relates to updating the content for Community, which you can find at https://www.mautic.org/community. If there are any comments from the team they will be found below.
The link for writing the updated content can be found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-OnxuIbLIV8D4YCU4Z0BcAH_GKrv6A0QBystcPvXXPg/edit?usp=drivesdk.
Thanks for your help!
