Also having a similar issue when using this template. Doesn't seem to want to show anything.

Took me a while to realize, but the instructions tell you to use npx degit matyunya/smelte-template my-svelte-project, that is actually a wrong repo and has a different issue. To clone the correct repo, use npx degit matyunya/smelte-sapper-template my-svelte-project.
