We should just allow you to click on the whole row for both as we do for the datasets table. Setting cursor = pointer is enough to cue user to click on the table row. And highlighting is enough to tell you whether it has been selected

This seems like a pretty good idea. At least the clicking anywhere part. Continuing to show a checked box may help make it clearer to the user that something is being selected, but it's pretty marginal, so fine to cut and save space if that feels like the better route.
