Inline icon backspace #198

Bug Description

When clearing icon with backspace: It adds additional whitespace in editor.

We are using formatting tool api, when hitting backspace it removes icon char one at a time causing extra whitespace.

Example:

backspace-issue-icon-encoded.mp4

Expected Behaviour

Steps to reproduce

Insert inline icon via formatting tool.
Try to remove icon via backspace.
See additional whitespace.
