Keyboard indicator letters are blurry and does not scale well with panel height
I use Ubuntu Mate 19.10 - 64bits

I confirm this problem was present from Gnome 2.32 or may be earlier. Looks very weird. Seems like nobody thinks that is really important bug)

You can use flags instead

gsettings set org.mate.peripherals-keyboard-xkb.indicator show-flags true
