Community admin email template - update for responding via inbound mail channel #1115

Updates requested for the Contact Community Admin email, and the response message to the user.

First - for the message to the Community admin, the current format is shown here:

Please make the following changes:

  1. Include ME logo (new, see ticket Replace old MassEnergize logo with new one #1114) and Community Logo at top.
  2. Overall format ok, with a white section, grey text except for the quoted users message which should be black.
  3. Change copyright to 2024
  4. Change text as follows:

Hello Brad,
The following message was sent from a /community/ user through the “Contact Us” page on /date/, and is sent to you as the primary contact for /community/.

From: Community User ([email protected])
Subject: The subject
The message body

Please reply to the user within 2-3 days by replying directly to this message, or you can reply from the Admin Portal through this link.

  1. Move the text "If you think this message is spam, please forward this message to [email protected]" into the footer section below the copyright.

Second- for the response message to the user, here is a message I sent and the current response that the user receives:

Requesting the following changes

  1. Use an HTML template

  2. Start with the logo of the community

  3. Don’t put the additional words in it (eliminate “Thanks for reaching out!” and “Please let me know if you have any questions, Sincerely name”.

  4. Preserve formatting and attachments in the message, so that it looks pretty much like the one sent.

  5. The reply-to address for this message should be the inbound stream, so that the user can feply to the cadmin.

  6. Copy the message to the cadmin so they see what was sent, and their address is shown to the user.

  7. At the bottom of the message, include
    You can reply to the community admin by replying directly to this message.

This makes it easier to respond to community messages.
