I also used "--search-engine=elasticsearch7 " for the setup-install file for magento=2.4.7 with elasticsearch=8.11-0 and it worked, and when I switched to "--search-engine=elasticsearch8 " I got an error below. Am I doing it right?

ES8 was never and will not be supported by Magento. Opensearch works good and uses the standard Apache Open Source License. Why do you want to use ES8 instead? |

If I`m not mistaken, Elasticsearch is not officially supported by Magento because of the change in their Licensing. It would be best if you switched to openSearch which Magento will support in the future. |
