Hello. I'm running Arch Linux with GNOME, and Pamac is wonderful. It looks native and works great. My only complaint is with the tray icon.

I use the TopIcons-plus GNOME extension to add in tray icons - not because I want them, but because some poorly behaved applications are just unusable without them. I'd prefer for applications to not use tray icons if possible.

Now, Pamac has an option to "Hide tray icon when no update available". But as far as I can tell, there's no option to always hide the tray icon. On Arch Linux, updates are pretty much always available, so I constantly have the red icon sitting there in my tray.

Could there be an option to hide the tray icon always please?

Although it's not a fix, in KDE variant you can simply remove pamac-tray-appindicator package
