Have you considered using libwpewebkit/libwpe/wpe or cog (1 layer of abstraction)

Its similar to ultralight but its not proprietary and is an lite version of webkit2 that is better suited for using it to use for applications. And I believe at least wpe/libwpe is created by the same project that develops webkit.

I was going to try to add support for this but I'm not super familiar with purego yet, I have been reviewing different projects for a month or so now and then needed a webkit tool and noticed you built this (but also noticed QT for go has switced to using purego too).

Just thought I might point it out; if I manage to finish mine if I don't just use your project and forget about using wpe because optimizaiton is 100% important for this initial project; but my next one that uses webkit will need the wpe because its for application UI. So I will do it eventually if not sooner than later.
