Aurora won't install

I downloaded Aurora for Cloudlog and installed the necessary Microsoft Net Runtime but it complains of the wrong OS. I am using Windows 11 Pro. Any ideas to fix this? Thanks, Scott, W1AL

I'm not aware of any issues on Windows 11 the only thing I can think of is that your running ARM-based CPU

What's the exact wording of the error that's presented by the operating system?

In the search box can you type System Information and load up the app (should be on win 11) and screenshot the data for me especially interested in the processor info

Sure thing. I’ll also try running the app in compatibility mode. Will send a screenshot in a couple of days. Really like CloudLog a lot. Also trying TYqsl but it seems to make WSJT-X freeze up so looking to stick with yours :) Thanks Scott W1AL

Hi Peter: I got it running in compatibility mode and got it to show WSJT-X as green - connected. However no qsos are sent to Cloudlog. Entered in a cloudlog API and logbook public slug URL as well as the ID of the logbook. Checked your website and followed it the best I could. Can you send detailed instructions I need to put in each Aurora field in setup ? I must be making a mistake Thanks Scott W1AL

Hi Peter: I got it working. My station logbook somehow got disassociated from the station location in Cloudlog. Once I fixed that I was able to log my wsjt-x QSOs with Aurora. One other question: Aurora doesn’t show any info in “last call sign lookup. Or “last grid ***@***.*** Should it ? Scott W1AL

Yes Last Callsign only works for TCP which is separate to WSJT that being said, similar functions coming in an update soon

Hi Peter, I got it working by making sure the station logbook is associated with the location. Somehow it got separated. I see that WSJT-X Improved fixed their Cloudlog logging so I am now using that instead of needing Aurora. I try to keep things simple without a lot of extra apps. Thanks. 73 Scott W1AL

After installing anyway the TCP for JTDX does not seem to work at all.
Nothing happens while TCP server is activated in JTDX.

When you say nothing happens Cloudlog Aurora accepts ADIF packets via TCP so there isn't much that can run.

Can you also confirm you installed Aurora as Admin could also be causing the issue I think

Whatever I tried I never was able to get Aurora Cloudlog to work.

ok found my error and missed the trailing slash at the end of the cloudlog url now it works !

But the TCP does not work while it is activated in MShv with port 52001

I have tried Cloudlog Aurora with JTDX.
My test software successfully receives TCP ADIF data from JTDX (as you can see on the screenshot), but Aurora still shows Unknown for last searched callsign and grid square (server port of my test software is closed when Aurora is running as administrator).
If I would close Aurora, then JTDX shows a TCP server connection error when logging QSOs, which means that Aurora TCP server is accepting connections.

Is any possibility to get the debug log for Aurora?

HI guys, the same problem on Win 11. I downloaded the Cloudlog-Aurora.exe and can't run it. It says (transalted from CZ): "This application can't run on your computer. If you want to find a vaersion compatible with your compuer contact the SW provider." The same if i try to run the file as admin.

Workaround is to install it with W7 compatibility mode as admin. Then works as expected on W11.

Right click on aurora installer, then Properties, compatibility tab and choose execute with compatibility windows 7 like in screenshot below (sorry it is in French)

Apply, OK. Then execute installer as administrator and it should work

This is exactly what I did. Downloaded the installer, right click, Windows 7 compatibilty mode, OK and then run the installer as admin.

Sory it is in Czech. But it is the same setup. I alredy set the properties to "Run as admin".

This is what I get:

It says: "This application can not run on your computer. If you want to find the version compatible with your PC contact rhe SW developer." The only option is "Close"

I've checked what was was my execution setting on aurora (they are as default) but you're stucked ahead that !
