The contributors table seems like a good place to include direct access to our discord usernames, given that the README.md mentions our use of Discord for communication.

I tried to see if it was possible to embed a link, but after many attempts I have given up on that as a part of this suggestion. I would love to see someone figure that out, but I cannot; I used this format for a link: https://discordapp.com/users/uncle_baby_kern#8432 but could not see it going to a given user, just to discord 'friends' tab.

Here's an example of my proposed change for this issue:

Name GitHub LinkedIn Discord Username
Coren “Kern” Frankel GitHub LinkedIn uncle_baby_kern#8432
Mack Smith GitHub LinkedIn Mack_Smith#6385

I'm framing this issue as a question: should we do this?
If so, who wants to?

I'm on the fence about this idea. I like the additional method of communication, but is it overkill? Maybe we can replace the LinkedIn link on the readme with the discord username should someone want to reach out? Thoughts?

Acknowledged. I suggested it because the readme suggests that is our dominant mode of communication for the project. I like the idea of replacing linkedin on the readme, because we have those accessible from the acknowledgements now. And honestly, I'm not committed to using LinkedIn as a contact point for more than short bursts... Could be another thing to anticipate might be blank for some contributors, so we ought to have a commented out template for future contributors to add a blank or put in their non-github contact point.

Ditch the linkedin on the readme then?
