To fix that issue compiling with GCC8 change the nasm version to 2.14 under build.sh. It will build fine.

you dont need nasm — yasm can do all the work (actually on a debian based system you dont need all this stuff)
also in the script maybe use nproc instead of getconf _NPROCESSORS_ONLN
