I can not see the avatar picture on the front page

Hi, I am new to Hugo and I try build a personal website.
I have installed Hugo-coder theme and now I am trying to personalise Hugo.toml file.
Everything is running fine except I can not see the avatar picture on the front page.
The avatar.jpg is on /home/corneliu/newsite/images but it does not show up on the web page.
I noticed also that in the image folder there are 2 more images: screenshot.png and tn.png
but I do not know how to use them.
I want also to put some jpg images of my own on the front page but I do not how to do that.
I want to know what image size is acceptable and how to position it on the page.

The avatar.jpg is on /home/corneliu/newsite/images but it does not show up on the web page.

So, there is a catch here. You need to place all static (images and other stuff) inside the static folder. So, it should be at /home/corneliu/newsite/static/images. See my site for reference: https://github.com/luizdepra/luizdepra.dev

Don't mind them. These images are used only in the README.

Same thing. Put the under static/images.

As far as I remember, any image size will work. For position, I recommend using the figure shortcode with custom CSS classes. See, here.
