I'm posting this here so there is a record of this is anyone has this issue. I'm using Linux Mint 20.2, also a derivative of Ubuntu.
Installing the latest .deb release package was a breeze, and went well. However, running the first instance of the configuration failed on execution, and had a result of:
sunshine: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version GLIBC_2.32 not found (required by sunshine)
It appears LinuxMint 20.2 uses Ubuntu 20.04 libs, and not Ubuntu 21.04. Be sure to use Ubuntu 20.04 for the deb file.
