[question] Does this proxy rancher, or things in rancher?

I'm cruising around looking for an automated proxy I can use to Reverse proxy the containers in Rancher by container name or domain label. Couldn't figure out exactly what you intended this one to do, so thought I'd ask. Thanks!

You might be interested in this. This is my nginx config for reverse proxying docker containers. I use this so that I can access containerized web applications by simple URLs.
