Pen/Eraser detection not working correctly

I'm using a Dell Active Pen, which has a side button which switches it from pen to eraser mode. This functionality worked perfectly out of the box until updating to Fedora Silverblue 41 Beta. Now, normal writing is always detected as eraser input in both Xournal++ and RNote, and a quick test using a live ISO from Fedora 41 KDE provided exactly the same outcome.
It looks to me like this is the most appropriate place to file a report about it.
