Please, consider to add SEMI-transparent themes. Maybe:

— Semi-transparent DARK
— Semi-transparent LIGHT

Current transparent theme is nice, but taking into account that wallpaper could be too dark or too light, it's difficult to read app names. With these new themes, I think FAST (and FASTER) would have a complete set of background customization to choose from.

Thanks and best regards.

"One man's trash is another man's treasure".

In other words, for tastes, colors.

All exchange of ideas is stimulating and enriching, provided they are expressed with valid arguments and keeping the ways. The intention is to contribute to the dialogue. That is a reasonable and not instinctive behavior. We can disagree with the position and liking of the other, but it is necessary to prioritize respect and tolerance first and foremost.

Maybe this application is not useful for everyone, but just as some have the freedom to put themselves in evidence with their own words, in the same way, there may be people who do appreciate its benefits and features.

Finally, if everyone is free to use this or that application according to their requirements and preferences...

How smart can it be to judge them for that?

When you say that the wallpaper could be too dark, are you implying that FAST should be able to lighten up the wallpaper or in turn dim its UI darker to match the wallpaper?

Before, I mentioned tastes and colors... As you know, everyone can choose the wallpaper they like most and it will depend on their choice that, when opening FAST, the names that accompany the icons in the app list are readable or not. The images that I attach will give a better idea of what I mean.

FAST, right now, has 4 themes to choose from. I suggest to change the TRANSPARENT ones to:

— Dim DARK (dark semi-transparent background, white font) and
— Dim LIGHT (light semi-transparent background, black font)

FAST only has to dim its UI, darker or lighter. Nothing more.

I hope my suggestion is taken into account. Thanks and best regards.

If it is just about readability: Would a Text Shadow suffice? ( As in Trebuchet, see image )
I suspect that dimming all the UI might be hard to achieve or cause quite some hassle.
But if there's more to the dimming approach that makes it desirable for you please feel free to explain.

It's just a matter of readability —and aesthetics—. If to implement semi-transparent background implies more difficulties that benefits, I think Text Shadow would be suffice. But it's obvious that shadow has to be dark in the "Transparent light" theme and lighter in the "Transparent dark" one. Thanks.
