Starting from this commit c66c309, games like "Marvelous" which uses SA1 are broken. If I restore this file (sa1.c) to the one previous to this commit the game works without problems. This looks like a regression issue.

Might be related to this reported issue: #54

I don't have any good knowledge about snes or sa1 chip emulation in order to fix it myself so I'm opening this issue.

Thanks

I noticed the same too. Here is the complete list of the broken SA-1 games (hang at boot):

  • Habu Meijin no Omoshiro Shougi (Japan)
  • J.League '96 Dream Stadium (Japan)
  • Marvelous - Mouhitotsu no Takara-jima (Japan)
  • Mini Yonku Shining Scorpion - Let's & Go!! (Japan)
  • Pachi-Slot Monogatari - PAL Kougyou Special (Japan)
  • PGA European Tour (USA)
  • PGA Tour 96 (USA)
  • Rin Kaihou Kudan no Igo Taidou (Japan)
  • Shougi Saikyou (Japan)
  • Shougi Saikyou II - Jissen Taikyoku Hen (Japan)
  • Takemiya Masaki Kudan no Igo Taishou (Japan)

Restoring the previous state of sa1.c should fix them all. What were those "SA-1 fixes" that break many games meant to fix? 🤔
