@GabrielAnacletoBaumgartner

I'm trying to compile an X11 Lakka v5.x, i'm running Ubuntu as recommended i'm getting an error at step 15.

As the log is very big, this is the last part:

I didn't modified anything, just followed Compiling Lakka Page and #640 pull from the old repositories

Hello, @GabrielAnacletoBaumgartner

I could not reproduce this issue.
It may be happened on environment.

Please confirm the version of libtool.
Or, is libtool installed your environment?

My build environment:
hoge@PCname:~$ libtool --version
Command 'libtool' not found, but can be installed with:
sudo apt install libtool-bin

hoge@PCname:~$ .//Lakka-LibreELEC/build.Lakka-Generic.x86_64-5.0-devel/toolchain/bin/libtool --version
libtool (GNU libtool) 2.4.7

Note.
I changed username and hostname.

Thanks

Thanks for replying, i tried and it looks like libtool wasn't installed.

I installed as instructed.

but when it comes to the libtool version, it says this:

libtool (GNU libtool) **_2.4.6_**
Written by Gordon Matzigkeit, 1996

Copyright (C) 2014 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO
warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

It looks like the version is different.

Anyways... I managed to make it work. After I installed libtool with sudo apt install libtool I followed this post

I would like to ask you guys to add the command for installing all Lakka's compiling dependencies in the Compiling Lakka page and/or in README.md from Github:

 **Compiling dependencies**

If you want to compile Lakka you need will need Ubuntu/Debian with the necessary packages. Install them using the following command:
> sudo apt install build-essential libtool libc6-dev-i386 gcc-multilib libssl-dev uuid-dev libuuid1 gperf texinfo lzop xsltproc libncurses5-dev libjson-perl u-boot-tools gawk libsigsegv2 patchutils

The same thing should be done to Github's Wiki page Compiling Lakka
Just copy and paste it. It's going to save a lot of time for many people trying to build it.
