There have been frequent demands in #librehosters:disroot.org to move this list away from GitHub.

I have created a clone of the current master and would like to know what's the regular procedure to move a repository, eventually together with its issues, to a GitLab instance.

https://framagit.org/librehosters/awesome-librehosters

Else we need to resolve the issues first, before we can check out here. Especially with regards to libresh/catalogue#9

+1 for the importance of making the github version a mirror rather than main repository.

For people in Iran and Crimea (maybe some other places), shifting to non-GAFAM hosts is no longer an ethical issue, it has become a practical issue during the last few days/weeks - people considered by GitHub to be in Crimea or Iran are now more or less blocked from using GitHub - https://www.zdnet.com/article/github-starts-blocking-developers-in-countries-facing-us-trade-sanctions/ on the grounds of "US sanctions". This framagit repository looks to be only one commit behind the github one at the moment: framagit is at e7ef6e7 while github is at 19d3221.
