Hi,
The anonymous mode is a great feature. We think that something that can make it even better is offering the option to apply it only for some roles. For example, only for students.
Please assume that in a lot of cases, the teachers may ask questions in a forum with anonymous mode enabled, and they don't mind being anonymous themselves. They would like the anonymity only for the students.

Currently (version 4.2-r1 of the plugin) the plugin offers 2 anonymous modes:
Only questioners
Questioners and answerers

Maybe, if there was a "Only answerers" mode, it would partially meet our need, but only partially. Because even then, if a student would ask a question, and not the teacher, he/she wouldn't be anonymous.

So maybe if there would be a user capability of Moodleoverflow, that if allowed to a specific role, would bypass the anonymous mode, it could help us achieve the scenario that I mentioned above in the beginning of this request.

Please consider it :-)
Thanks in any case, even if just for reading this and considering my request.

We think this is a very good feature - just discussing with @justusdieckmann implementing a 3rd mode does not sound too difficult. He will start with a setting based on a capability in the next 2 weeks :)
