This organisation is for those interested in learning the C family of programming languages; primarily C and C++ along with interesting libraries, such as Qt and OpenGL, for use in the computer generated graphics industries like Games and Film.

Who am I

My name is Marcus and I've spent the past 8 years in visual effects. I've worn a number of hats during this time.

  • Storyboard/animatic artist
  • Concept artist
  • Rigger (characters, creatures and props)
  • Animator (characters, creatures and props)
  • Simulation artist (cloth and particles)
  • Compositor (full cg)

In both film, commercials and games.

I'm running a research and development startup called Abstract Factory Ltd. in which I develop disruptive software for film and visual effects, primarily using Python but am now looking to complement these skills with real-time and performant alternatives - C and C++.

Learn C/C++ for Film and Games.
