Currently in 1.1.1 the piston only seems to pull blocks that match the first one it finds. A more expensive version that can pull any valid blocks would allow for more complicated and fancier usages!

agree just tried to do this and found out you can't. I was disappointed since I figured it could pull and push any block in the correct area, assuming a regular piston can push it.
