ELEMENT 0.46.6 as a stand alone plug in host (trying before purchase)
Windows 11 Pro, i9 CPU, 64GB RAM.
SampleTank 4 VST3
To Reproduce
Add interface BOSS GP-10
Add MIDI Guitar3 HEX (guitar pitch to midi conversion)
Add SampleTank
Connect those and test. SampleTank does receive midi from MG3HEX and outputs audio through the GP-10.
Add MidiMaker Sparrow 3 fader controller and connect to SampleTank.
SampleTank seems to get no midi input from the Sparrow 3 and "midi learn" function doesn't work.
Add Midi Monitor and verify that Sparrow 3 is sending controller data (faders set to CC 85, 86, 87 and data is being sent)
Expected behavior
When connecting Sparrow 3 controller to SampleTank, it will recognize incoming data and "midi learn" would function.
Screenshots
*Additional context
When using MidiGuitar3HEX as stand alone, the Sparrow 3 controller does control SampleTank. However, ELEMENT has features lacking in MG3HEX, so I was hoping to use it to control my VSTs.
I was very impressed with ELEMENT, up until hitting this issue. If this is fixed in latest version, please let me know and I will purchase.
Thanks for your attention.

Not sure what's happening but you could insert a midi monitor in the signal chain to test as well. Could be a MIDI channel problem at the node level too.
Thanks Mike, I tried just tried a demo of GigPerformer and same thing was happening. I got it figured out. Seems if I run the Sparrow 3 controller to MidiGuitar 3 first and then send it on to SampleTank it works.
Now I have a new problem which neither ELEMENT or GigPerformer seem to have a plugin for. My old Antares ATG-1 floor pedal can only send midi PC messages. I need to convert those PC messages to CC messages for the purpose of toggling on and off VST instruments in the host. Can ELEMENT do that ? Do you know of a VST plugin that can do that?
Thanks!Erol On Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 05:02:41 PM EST, Michael Fisher ***@***.***> wrote:
