Show video progress without having details displayed

I want to see the progress of the video but don't care about the tags or comments it would be nice to add an option that shows video details by default without opening details for every video.

Reasonable suggestion. If I add a preference that hides tags (similar to how you can toggle comments) will that work for you?

It would completely disable "opening" a image/video. So tapping it would only show/hide the overlay.

It sort of works but a permanently show video overlay toggle is more akin to what I want. So i don't have to click to see the progress

ah got it. So basically if you hide the rest of the overlay, you want the progress to stay visible?

Yeah I just want to see player controls like progress without showing the rest of the overlay.

I will think about a good way to implement that. In the meantine... The player controls are totally functional while invisible. This means you can pause skip etc without having to opening the details first.
